Like many families, there can be a fair bit of sibling rivalry in the camp. The Tangent series family of sterilizers is no different. Most would agree that you do not want to mess with a Cobra. Not unless you are a Mongoose that is. What part of mortal enemies don’t you understand? Rikki – Tikki – Tavi certainly knew how to sort out a Cobra or two! Small, intelligent, fast and tough, that’s your typical Mongoose. The Tangent Mongoose, like it’s namesake, is the perfect choice for applications where big is not better, where full capability is required but tough enough to fire up year after year. That’s why the chamber and door, (and you can have two doors by the way; their fully automatic too) is made from 316L stainless steel, (so is the steam generator if you want one, elements and all). Even the vacuum pump is made from stainless steel.

The Mongoose has intelligence in spades (not like the person writing this). An intuitive touch screen graphical user interface allows selection of pre loaded cycles like leak rate and Bowie Dick cycles or configuring and saving your own cycle profiles. So you don’t get bitten by unauthorized interference with the ‘goose, everything can be protected by PIN code security, and it remembers what happened with every single cycle forever (sounds a bit like my mum). You can record cycle data to an SD card for future reference, and the control system is fully web enabled, so you can whip out the old iPhone and see what the little snake chomper is up too.

The compact design utilizes front service access, so you can squeeze the Mongoose into tight corners without losing any fur.  Actually, the Tangent Mon- goose doesn’t have fur, the front panel is a rather attractive (well we think so) colour toned, heat resist- ant thermoplastic alloy.

All in all, the Mongoose, like most small furry little things, is a delight to have around.
